“3 Foos”
As I get older I tend to get nostalgic from time to time and it leads me to reference my past in my artwork. One of the reasons for changing up my art style is to be more efficient in my story telling so that my audience can get to know me better as a person including my history. When creating this piece I was reminiscing back when I would hang out with the homies and smoke weed. At any given time you would find a group of folks in my neighborhood kickin’ it outside of someones house, by the liquor store, or at the park. It was a different time when technology wasnt as prevalent in our daily lives like smart phones and social media so people would actually have to meet in person to socialize. The weed was different as well. It wasnt as potent as it is today but as a young person nothing was better than putting $5 on a sack and rolling up a couple joints to smoke with the homies. I wish I could go back to when life was simple.
